In 2000, Cal Mayo and Pope Mallette founded Mayo Mallette with a sense of optimism and determination, akin to that of the small town in which they chose to live and work. They sought to create a practice where dedicated, streamlined work brought better, clearer, faster results.

Today, Mayo Mallette is a diversified civil practice, primarily involving general, commercial, and complex litigation. The firm strives to maintain its reputation for responsiveness, loyalty, and particular skill in handling complex, document-intensive cases. Its attorneys are engaged in representations concerning a variety of litigated matters, such as intellectual property, product liability, breach of contract, business torts, breach of warranty, employment discrimination, governmental entity defense, municipal land use, premises liability, and civil rights.

In addition to our extensive litigation practice, attorneys at Mayo Mallette counsel individuals and businesses on various legal issues, ranging from creating and organizing business entities to employer-employee relations; from contract-drafting and negotiation to land use regulation and real property transactions. The firm’s attorneys are admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Mississippi, the United States Courts of Appeal for the Fifth and Federal Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
